Sarah Benne, MSW | Therapist (Atlanta, GA)

Sarah brings a compassionate, warm, and grounded presence to her work with children, teens, and their families. She believes that feeling genuinely seen, heard, and understood is at the heart of the therapeutic process at every age, and she strives to create a space where clients feel safe enough to be vulnerable, curious, and genuinely themselves. Her approach is strengths-based and trauma-informed, with an emphasis on building trust and meeting each client where they are.

Sarah earned her Master of Social Work with a clinical focus on children and families. She draws from cognitive behavioral therapy, child-centered play therapy, trauma-informed care, attachment theory, family systems approaches and more to understand each client's unique experiences and needs. She especially values the use of creativity, play, and movement to help children communicate what can sometimes be difficult to express through words.

Sarah is passionate about helping children develop a stronger understanding of themselves, their emotions, their behaviors, and their relationships with others. She also enjoys working collaboratively with caregivers, recognizing the crucial role that supportive relationships and family dynamics play in a child's well-being. Above all, Sarah aims to approach each client with patience, understanding, curiosity, and genuine compassion, honoring their individual strengths and perspective throughout the therapeutic process.

Sarah is also able to provide culturally responsive services to Spanish-speaking children and families.
