Kyla Murray, MSW, LSW, & SSP | Therapist (Denver, CO)

Kyla Murray is a gentle and empathetic therapist who approaches her practice through a strengths-based, trauma-informed lens, rooted in the belief that a real therapeutic connection is the heart of progress. With an extensive background spanning school-based settings, residential treatment, and summer camps, she brings a versatile perspective to supporting children and families. Kyla specializes in creating a safe, compassionate space where children can explore their world through the natural languages of play and art. She believes that even when faced with significant challenges, there is always room for joy, growth, and discovery, and she is dedicated to helping children uncover their unique strengths.

Whether a child needs support in self-regulation or a creative outlet for internal expression, Kyla partners with them in navigating the ‘big stuff’ through the power of play. She integrates elements of mindfulness, art-based therapy, and CBT within a systems-based framework to help children build healthy coping skills and find balance in their world. Prioritizing a collaborative approach, Kyla works closely with families to bridge the gap between therapy and daily life. Her goal is to provide a nurturing environment where every child feels seen and empowered to navigate their world with resilience.

Kyla holds a Master’s degree in Social Work with a concentration in Children and Youth and School Social Work from the University of Denver, and a Bachelor of Social Work from Hope College.  Kyla is a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Colorado.
