Courtney Hammel, MA, LPCC | Therapist (Arvada, CO)

Courtney brings a warm, grounded presence and deep empathy to her work with children, adults, and families. She believes that true healing happens within safe, connected relationships where clients feel unconditionally accepted, heard, and met exactly where they are. Creating an authentic and nurturing space, Courtney invites clients to show up as their true selves, using warmth and curiosity to foster meaningful growth and self-discovery.

Her clinical practice is trauma-informed and thoughtfully draws from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Family Systems, attachment theory, and mindfulness practices. Courtney helps families navigate big emotions while tuning into their nervous systems, honoring sensitivity as a core strength.

Believing that play is the primary language of childhood, she utilizes Child-Centered Play Therapy, creative arts, and storytelling to empower children to express their authentic selves, process complex feelings, and feel deeply understood.

Courtney earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University and brings a depth of experience from community mental health, elementary, and middle school settings. She is honored to join Rooted Rhythm, offering an inclusive, heart-centered space where clients of all ages can feel grounded, connected, and authentically supported.
