Chrissy Andreasen, MSW | Therapist (Lakewood, CO)
Chrissy brings warmth, authenticity, and heart-centered presence to her therapeutic relationships. She believes the path through life’s challenges lies in moving through (not around) them, supported by patience, humor, and trust. With a deep belief in the power of emotional expression, she helps clients connect with their feelings to foster healing, growth, and joy.
With a decade of experience across mental health, educational, and legal systems, Chrissy meets children, caregivers, and families exactly where they are. Her approach is rooted in trauma-informed care that honors the whole child and thoughtfully considers the cultural and systemic contexts that shape each client’s story.
Chrissy holds a Master of Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver and a BA in Psychology from the University of Kansas. She specializes in working with individuals and families navigating trauma, anger, depression, anxiety, substance use, identity exploration, LGBTQ+ experiences, and child welfare involvement. Her work is guided by a commitment to antiracist, antioppressive practices and informed by her own journey of sustained recovery from addiction.
Outside of therapy, Chrissy finds joy in nature walks, reading, starting creative projects, and spending time with her chosen family. She’s always seeking small moments of magic in the everyday.
