Ellen Alleman, MA, LPCC| Therapist (Denver, CO)

Ellen Alleman, MA, brings a thoughtful, attuned presence to her work with children and families, grounded in her background as a school counselor and Colorado Initial Special Services Provider. With a deep understanding of how children develop socially, emotionally, and neurologically, Ellen specializes in supporting neurodivergent, gifted, and twice-exceptional children who experience the world with intensity and depth.

Ellen has extensive experience working with children navigating anxiety, emotional intensity, and overexcitabilities. She is especially passionate about supporting highly sensitive children, helping them better understand their inner world while building tools to feel more regulated, confident, and empowered. Her work also focuses on strengthening executive functioning skills and supporting overall social-emotional development.

Ellen’s approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based. She integrates modalities such as play therapy, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, expressive arts therapy, and Brainspotting to meet each child where they are. Through this integrative lens, she helps children build emotional awareness, develop effective coping skills, and grow in self-advocacy.

At the heart of Ellen’s work is a commitment to helping children feel deeply seen, understood, and supported. She creates a space where kids can safely explore their emotions, regulate their nervous systems, and begin to trust themselves more fully—both in their inner experiences and in the world around them.
