Sonya Zielinski, MSW, SWC | Therapist (Denver, CO)
Hi, Iām Sonny, and I am so glad you are here. I support sensitive children, adult women, and families who are looking for a space where they can feel understood, grounded, and truly supported. My approach is gentle, relational, and rooted in the belief that healing happens through connection ā with ourselves, with each other, and within the environments that help us feel safe.
Many of the families I work with come to me during moments of transition, overwhelm, or uncertainty. Whether your child is struggling with big feelings, you are navigating a major life shift, or your family is longing for more ease and connection, I am here to walk alongside you. I use trauma-informed, developmentally attuned, and play-based approaches to help children regulate, express themselves, and build confidence. With adults, I offer a warm, collaborative space to explore patterns, strengthen coping skills, and reconnect with your own inner wisdom.
My background includes supporting individuals after psychiatric hospitalization, working with neurodivergent and highly sensitive people, and helping families build routines and relationships that feel steady and nourishing. I also draw from my experience in land-based and experiential education, which means I pay close attention to how environment, sensory needs, and nervous-system cues shape our well-being.
Above all, I want you and your child to feel seen, respected, and supported. Sensitivity is a strength, and together we can create a therapeutic space where your family can grow with more clarity, connection, and compassion.
